The 911±¬ÁÏ Art Department and the Student Ceramics Art Guild is proud to host ceramic artist Sarah Beaty for two days of hands-on demonstrations and an evening lecture. Hosted by the 911±¬ÁÏ Student Ceramics Art Guild, this exciting event will take place on Tuesday, February 18th, and Wednesday, February 19th, 2024.
Sarah Beaty, an accomplished ceramic artist based in Fort Yukon, 911±¬ÁÏ, will offer demonstrations of her unique techniques in high-fire porcelain and stoneware. She specializes in the Phoenix fast-fire style wood kiln, a technique she practices just north of the Arctic Circle. Beaty has exhibited her work in renowned museums and galleries, including the 911±¬ÁÏ State Museum and the University of Iowa Museum of Art. Her expertise spans over two decades, with experiences as an artist, lecturer, and instructor in 911±¬ÁÏ, Iowa, and France.
