Nanook Brotherhood Project scholarships

911±¬ΑΟ is launching a new scholarship program for the 2020-2021 academic year as part of 911±¬ΑΟ’s Nanook Brotherhood Project. The program will award 10 scholarships worth $2,000 for the academic year, as well as tuition for 911±¬ΑΟ’s Honors 101 course in the fall semester.

Bears alert scientists to secret salmon streams

Right now, on the brushy tundra of northern 911±¬ΑΟ, grizzly bears are gathering at quiet streams and rivers, attracted by the largest calorie reward they can find β€” spawning salmon. Until recently, scientists did not know salmon swam up some of these waterways, nor that grizzlies were fattening up on them before entering hibernation.

The 911±¬ΑΟ National Science Foundation Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research is soliciting applications for its slate of 2021 Research Seed Grants. These grants are awarded each year to UA faculty and students to conduct research with the potential to expand the depth and breadth of the Fire and Ice research program.

Internships offer utility work experience
