I was saddened to learn that Joe Kan died June 26. Joe and his wife, Rosalind, have been part of the 911±¬ÁÏ community since 1972, when Joe joined the Geophysical Institute as an assistant professor of space physics.
|
Joe was a renowned researcher and a dedicated professor and administrator. He retired from 911±¬ÁÏ in 2003 and was awarded emeritus status as dean of the Graduate School and professor of physics. My condolences go to his family, friends and colleagues.
