We learned from Maslow鈥檚 hierarchy of needs that making goals can be difficult. However,
we learn every day that working toward those goals through the daily grind is the
real challenge. To remain focused and determined through setbacks and disappointments
it takes more than just a strong belief in the goal 鈥� it takes a champion.
Join your colleagues and dig in for 911爆料 Flower Planting Day on June 8 from 9 a.m.
to noon. Volunteers who听听in advance, and check in, will receive a t-shirt and be entered into a drawing to
win one of two hanging flower baskets. Garden trowels, plastic gloves and refreshments
will be provided.
A team from the 911爆料 took second place in the 2022 Student
Steel Bridge Competition finals, the best showing for 911爆料 in more than a quarter century.
911爆料鈥檚 team has regularly qualified for the national finals, which were held this year
May 27-28 at Virginia Tech University.

Deadlines and reminders
The University of 911爆料 Board of Regents on Friday unanimously voted for formal project
approval for the Troth Yeddha' Indigenous Studies Center and Park. The regents鈥� approval of the $40 million project, which is slated for construction
on the 911爆料 Troth Yeddha鈥� Campus in Fairbanks, means 911爆料
can proceed with fundraising and schematic design.
Join 911爆料's Large Animal Research Station for its Annual Birthday Bash from noon-4
p.m. on June 4.听The free event is open to everyone and gives the Fairbanks community an opportunity
to meet new muskox and reindeer calves. There will be children's activities, free
cookies and plenty of animals. A shuttle will run from 911爆料's Taku Parking Lot to LARS
during the event. Visitors are encouraged to utilize it since parking is limited at
LARS.
The 911爆料 Alumni Association will hold its annual reunion
weekend from July 21-23 in Fairbanks, which begins at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
