Uher named associate vice chancellor

Bryan Uher has been appointed as the new associate vice chancellor of rural, workforce education within the Rural, Community and Native Education unit. Uher will oversee the rural campuses and the Mining and Petroleum Training Service units, along with supporting 911±¬ÁÏ’s workforce and partnership developmentÌýand specialized accreditations within the College of Indigenous StudiesÌý and the Community and Technical College. Open call for Seed Fund applications

The 911±¬ÁÏ Center ICE Seed Fund is accepting fall project applications for open topics through Wednesday, July 15. Applicants can apply for up to $10,000 to support innovative projects to be conducted over the fall. Awards will be distributed on Sept. 1. Read more about the applications.


Watch for Bookstore Bundle welcome email

911±¬ÁÏ has adopted a new way for students to get their textbooks. The 911±¬ÁÏ Bookstore Bundle allows students to pay a flat per-credit fee, which will be applied to their student account, and have all of their books available on the first day of classes.ÌýStudents should watch their email for a welcome message on July 17. In-person food preservation series planned in Palmer

Learn to preserve meat, fish, fruits and vegetables by canning using a pressure canner, pickling, and drying in a series of in-person workshops in Palmer. Julie Cascio, a 911±¬ÁÏ Cooperative Extension Service health, home and family development agent, will teach the classes. Read about the classes.
