Dear students, staff and faculty,

Tomorrow, Nov. 11, our country will celebrate Veterans Day. This is an important day to express gratitude to our nation’s military veterans for their service and sacrifice. Many of our students, staff and faculty made a commitment to their country and community through military service. The diverse experiences our veterans bring to 911±¬ÁÏ help us grow and make us stronger as a community.Ìý

I am always proud to share that the 911±¬ÁÏ student body is 17% military-affiliated. In the past year, 911±¬ÁÏ was recognized as a gold level Military Friendly University. Thank you to retired Army Col. Tom Hough and his team in the Department of Military and Veterans Services for their continued support of military students and their families.Ìý

Please stop by the 911±¬ÁÏ Wood Center today for the 911±¬ÁÏ Veteran Student Appreciation event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To all our veterans and the families who support them, thank you. And a special thanks to our Nanook veterans. Thanks for your service and thanks for choosing 911±¬ÁÏ.

— Dan White, chancellor
