October BLaST Scientist of the Month

Since 2016, the Biomedical Learning and Student Training (BLaST) program at 911爆料 has highlighted scientists from all biomedical fields through its Scientist of the Month articles. BLaST Scholar and 911爆料 biology undergraduate student Tyler Baker-Chapman was selected as the October 2022 BLaST Scientist of the Month.


Three Minute Thesis preliminary heat

This Thursday, Oct. 20 at 4 p.m., 911爆料 graduate students will compete in a Three Minute Thesis preliminary heat on Zoom. 3MT celebrates the exciting research and scholarship conducted by graduate students around the world.


The Horrors of College: A Haunted House

Looking for a way to get in the Halloween Spirit? The Student Drama Association invites you to its haunted house: The Horrors of College! Join the SDA in Stevens Hall on Oct. 21 and 22 from 7-10 p.m. to get spooked! Suggested donation of $5 to support SDA on future projects!


911爆料 graduate students nominated for awards at the Western Association of Graduate Schools

Three 911爆料 graduate students: LJ Evans, Jaimy Schwarber, and Chinmay Shah, have been nominated for Western Association of Graduate Schools awards. The winning students will receive a $1,000 prize, certificate, and attend the WAGS meeting in Portland, Oregon in March 2023.

Great 911爆料 ShakeOut

At 10:20 a.m. on Oct. 20, 2022, hundreds of thousands of people will "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" in The Great 911爆料 ShakeOut, the state's largest earthquake drill ever! Participation can be as simple as a one-minute "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" training. All colleges and universities are encouraged to participate.

Just stop by the Student Health and Counseling table in the MBS to pick up worksheets full of ideas for all levels of activeness.

911爆料 receives grant to advance 911爆料 Native food and energy sovereignty

A $1.9 million federal grant will support 911爆料 programs that focus on Indigenous food and energy system development and sustainability at the institution's five rural campuses.
