2025 Tall Timbers interview series begins June 9

The 911±¬ÁÏ will launch the 2025 Fairbanks Tall Timbers interview series on June 9. 

The nine-week series is presented by and honors people with longtime service to the Fairbanks community. Veteran journalist Robert Hannon will lead the weekly discussions at 7 p.m. on Mondays at the BP Design Theater, located on the fourth floor of the Usibelli Building.

The presentations are free and open to the public. Parking on the Troth Yeddha’ Campus is free after 5 p.m. Interviews will be livestreamed on the events page and made available as videos on the summer sessions website within two weeks of the live event.

Honorees in the 2025 Tall Timbers series include:

  • June 9 – Anne Hanley, author
  • June 16 – Margo Klass, artist
  • June 23 – Mary Ann Borchert, community volunteer
  • July 7 – Mike Thomas, New Year’s Eve Sparktacular creator
  • July 14 – Brian O’Donoghue, journalist
  • July 21 – John Manthei, a Fairbanks Folk School founder
  • July 28 – Stan Justice, mountaineer and volunteer
  • Aug. 4 – Nicky Eiseman, community activist
