The first lecture in the annual Irving-Scholander Memorial Lecture Series will be Wednesday, Nov. 10, from 6-7 p.m. in the Murie Auditorium and online.

Speaker J.G.M. āHansā Thewissen, a professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University who discovered the first fossils that showed the oldest whales could walk on land, is the author of āThe Walking Whalesā and was a consultant for the movie āAquaman.ā
