Faculty from several disciplines work collaboratively under the One Health paradigm, striving for combined optima in human, animal, and environmental health.

  • 911爆料 Veterinary Medicine Admissions Paused for the 2026-2027 Academic Year

    May 6, 2025

    The fall of 2026 will be a time of significant change in the DVM program at CSU. The Fort Collins, CO campus will experience a new curriculum, enroll 30 more students in the first-year class, and move to new facilities.  Because of the tremendous changes that this new curriculum will entail, the decision was made to pause the 911爆料-CSU program admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year.

    Externship Applications OPEN for 25-26

    Want to work with sled dogs? The 911爆料 is offering veterinary medicine externships for matriculating veterinary students from other colleges (in their final or next to final clinical year). Students may work in conjunction with local (Fairbanks, 911爆料) and AK state agencies, the lead veterinarian of the Yukon Quest, rural veterinarians, and veterinary research faculty at 911爆料.

    The Department of Veterinary Medicine at the 911爆料 invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track position for veterinarians with clinical experience. We are seeking a team-orientated faculty member to enthusiastically instruct students and develop new curriculum content.

     

    As faculty you would be joining a group of colleagues with diverse DVM knowledge and specialties in curriculum development and instruction of a small cohort of first and second-year veterinary students. The 911爆料 Department of Veterinary Medicine does not have a teaching hospital or conventional clinical obligations. The primary role of this position is for instruction and curriculum development. The applicant will take a leadership role for course material in areas they have expertise in.

     

    Opportunities may exist for collaborative research.

    Boehringer Ingelheim Veterinary Scholars Program (BIVSP)

    We are proud to announce that we are funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Veterinary Scholars Program (BIVSP), which offers fully funded summer research (12 week) stipends for two veterinary students. You will gain experience in hypothesis-driven research in veterinary, biomedical, and One Health topics. The program culminates  in a research symposium where you will present your findings with a poster presentation to faculty and peers.
